          The New York Indian Film Festival is one of the   most respected film festivals across the country. This annual event   offers short films, documentaries and featurette’s from the Indian   subcontinent. Presented by the Indo- American Arts Council; this   festival is promised to be culturally diverse and exciting.  From the   many events planned such as film screenings, panel discussions, and the   several different parties; one can certainly have an event filled day   that turns into an exciting evening. Over the course of 4 days filmmakers and spectators alike will gather   to enjoy awards ceremonies and star studded red carpet proceedings.    With 20 years of experience the Indo-American Arts Council prides itself   on the relationship that it strives to have with the United States and   Indian countries as it fuses its filmography and cultural talents. The   IAAC takes equal delights in all aspects of art, including dance,   fashion, art, film, books, music, and theater.  The desire if the IAAC   to display the quality of works provided by the Indian and surrounding   continents resonates throughout the film festival each year.  Recent   changes in the festival have been that it is usually held in the fall   but in 2011 it was held in the spring. |
